Astrosnax at Worldwide FM

This performance was for Worldwide Fm. It was a pre recorded live stream just before the first lockdown happened featuring Astrosnax, Pasty Beats and Crooq. The gig was through Rebecca Vasmant. What wonderful day it was! Astrosnax had also previously played in Sub Club at one of Rebecca’s gigs, as well as performing on her stage at Kelburn Garden Party.

Tunes

  • Ending - by Gyan Panesar

  • Seven Pennies - James Mackay

  • Stream - Peru Eizagirre

The video features Gyan Panesar (Baritone Saxophone), Anoushka Nanguy (Trombone), Peru Eizagirre (Drums) on Ewan Hastie (Electric Bass) and James Mackay (Guitar). Audio was produced and mixed by Stevie Cossar

Jam

This jam was completely random. Gyan’s dad always said to bring out the Bulbul Tarang which is a traditional instrument his Grandfather (Gurmail Singh Bhamra) used to play. Very interesting sounds were made through the use of improvisation and free flow of energy from Gyan and Peru.

The video features Gyan Panesar (Bulbul Tarang) and Peru Eizagirre (Drums).
